Attracting Love Starting With Yourself

I was working as a security guard when one day my environment changed and I began to wake up slowly.  Once I got serious about life I lost one-hundred and twenty five pounds in eight months all on my own.  I didn’t have a coach, doctors, or my parents helping but I learned about desire, sacrifice, self discipline and physical balance.  I became extremely confident and joined the Marine Corps, finished college and got a finance degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and I pursued Wall Street before leaving Investment Banking to become a successful salesman.  In mastering my desire and discipline I became very arrogant and cocky, and generally felt lonely and deeply unhappy.

My life changed for the best, ironically, when my grandfather died.  I was forced to come into my own, having spent years reflecting on my story and on my accomplishments.  I had achieved everything I had ever set my mind to, but yet I was still personally lonely, empty, and deeply unhappy until I realized my errors and learned what peace, happiness, and balance in life is really all about.

It was then when I defined my personal philosophy of “aLIVE: Now & Free.”  This is the way, I believe, that we are meant to be on this earth: living in the now, not the past and not too far in the future – and living free, not inhibited by our emotions or by the lies that we can tell ourselves.  We are here to be balanced and to indulge our senses – and I passionately want everyone to find this truth for themselves and to be able to easily correct the imbalances in their own lives.  None of us are perfect, but this philosophy can help us lose weight and beat obesity the way I did (and I’ve never, ever relapsed).  This philosophy can help us get productive careers and set our paths towards financial security, the way I did.

This philosophy can help us attract love into our lives, the way I did.  And this philosophy can help us select our emotions and pick our responses in order to live happily with extreme peace of mind, the way I do.  If you are completely balanced or are not open to a new life philosophy, that’s fine too.  You may already be there and I think that’s great!  This book can still offer you practical advice and real life examples that can inspire you to lose weight, improve your career, or seek real relationships that will improve your day-to-day life.
